More on Roots from the Clay:
Based in Houston, Roots From The Clay is Texas’ fastest rising Roots Reggae band. Roots From The Clay was conceived in May 2017 by Jamaican duo: drummer, songwriter & producer Jermaine “Songo” Wilson and wife Dr. Aria A. Wilson. Jermaine is a graduate from Edna Manley College of Music in Jamaica and toured the world as the drummer for many well known Jamaican Reggae artists. Aria was previously a signed solo reggae artiste “Aria Morgan” with a full-length album “Fulltime Love” to her credit. Jermaine and Aria started the band and later with the support of bassist “King David” Lee, keyboardist Robert Lauder and guitarist Rey Gonzalez, they perform together as the band Roots From The Clay (RFTC).
RTFC’s ambition is to encourage people through positive music. Their music confronts real-world issues. Racial equality, poverty, and relationships are honestly examined through pulsing reggae beats. Roots From The Clay’s influences come from Jamaican Roots, Lovers Rock and Dancehall Reggae music from the ’70s through the 2000s. Their first album “No Struggle” was launched in November 2018 and was distributed by VPAL records. The album has received airplay on radio stations in the U.S., Canada, Europe, South America, the Caribbean and Africa.
RFTC completed their first tour in 2018. In 2019, they completed their Summer 2019 Tour which included supporting Earthkry across several US cities which included North Carolina, New York, Boston, and Texas. They have provided direct support for Freddie McGregor, Mr. Vegas, Warrior King, Admiral Tibet, The Wailers, Etana, and Cocoa Tea.
The band has been experiencing steady growth and popularity on the local and national scene in the US performing to large audiences in their appearances at popular Festivals such as SXSW, Austin Reggae Fest, Dallas Reggae Fest, Houston Jerk Fest etc. With the powerful vocals of the lead singer, the quality of their compositions, and their mesmerizing live performances, Roots from the Clay will continue to evolve increasing their impact in the world of roots reggae music.

More on InDaSkies:
InDaSkies was created during the fall of 2012. A band that started in a friends garage and has come a long way to get where they are now. InDaSkies is a unique style of experimental reggae with intentions to provide unity through Music to their fans. InDaSkies is made up of some solid musicians and Great Friends. They have Front man Joe Serrato Holding down the Vocals and rhythm guitar. He has a Hip Hop sing flow approach to the reggae groove which blends well with the styles of the other members. like Seasoned Drummer Ryan Damian providing an awesome Dynamic tempo and controlling conscious explosions that make you want to move those feet. Holding down the Low end and also singing vocal Harmony, is James Herrington. He plays a funky bass groove that has some southern blues influences along with a psychedelic rock undertone. Completing the rhythm section is auxiliary percussionist David Rios aka Chango. Not only does David provide sweet syncopated accents to the already tight rhythm section he adds some of his own flavor to the mix as well. Their Lead Guitarist Marcus Tabet comes from a progressive metal background giving InDaSkies a unique reggae sound all of its own. The newest addition to InDaSkies is Keyboardist Chris Ranew expanding the styles of InDaSkies with Jazz influenced grooves. Last but not least is Saxophone player Derrick Rosette sending out vibrant burst of air completing the full melodic range of harmonic expression.
InDaSkies has had some great opening performances for top notch national/international acts like The Wailers, Fortunate youth, Through The Roots, Katchafire, Passafire, Ballyhoo, Audic Empire, Tribal Seeds, Josh Heinrich’s, The Movement, Iya Terra, Maoli, The Steppas, New Kingston and many more…
